Bootsectors problem
Hi. I had win98 on c: and win2k on d: [both on the same hdd]
I decided to format c: and reinstal win98. I backed up all filesd from root directory, formatted and reinstalled w98. I copied back all the files and rebooted. System manager didn't show up and win98 started. All files are in place [i hope so], like ntloader, ntdetect, boot.ini I think it has something to do with bootsectors and bootsect.* file i tried to use bootpart.exe but I don't really know what to do with it... Do i need NT bootsector on partition C: ? If so, how can I create it? |

You can try restarting the computer and letting it boot to the W2k CD and choose the option to repair using the recovery console. At the command prompt type fixboot c:

Yeah... others told me to do that, but the fact is that, for some reason, my win2k cd doesn't want to boot :| I'll try to get another copy tomorrow.
