Nothing! Locks up. Attempting to re-install only takes me to the same error message.

Need more information.

What kind of computer is this? Home built or name brand?

What are the specs?

Are you using an original WinXP CD or a burned copy?

Is the hard drive jumper set to CS?

How is the IDE cable installed? Blue to motherboard, black to Seagate and grey empty?

You might want to test your RAM with a memory tester like Memtest86+ or DocMemory.

If the motherboard uses a 24 pin power connection, does the power supply have the 24 pin power connector?
