xp 64 partition 2nd boot

I currently have xp pro 32 on my c drive, and I have a second hard drive partiton that i was hoping to install the trial of xp pro 64 on and test it out with far cry 64 and just to see its overal preformance, I have much more than the minumiun requierments for the xp pro 64 download, and it tells me that it will burn to a cd, then i assume i boot up with cd rom drive, it boots and then prompts me to select a location to install it, I then select the second hardddrive right?, does anyone know if it follows the same installation as xp pro 32? then after how do i go about having it be able to ask me which drive i want to boot with, or is there a certain key i would press?

Your plan "should" work and you "should" end up with a boot menu asking which OS you want to use.

Thank you, I just needed that reassurance, If it doesn't show a boot menu then I will just unplug the hard drive, then boot from the first and then run msconfig and go thro the steps to make it the boot drive
