Question Backing up a file to a tape

I have a back up scheduled to run everynight at 2 AM to back up all our company files to a file. Then I have a back up scheduled to run evernight at 3 AM to back up that file to a tape. The problem is that when I check the report it shows me that it backed up fine to the file, but it gives me the following message for the tape backup:

Skipped files in "2001.bks" folder. Folder not found.

That is all it says. I don't understand because the file that I am backing up to the tape is called "ABS Backup starting 5-23-2001".

I hope that you can help.

Thank you in advance for your response.

Why are you backing up to a file? You should be backing up directly to the tape. What operating system , what hardware, and what backup software are we talking about here - more details, please.
