Foldin' For PCMech!

start on logon scheduled tasks
with WinXP if you set a program to run at system logon, using schedulaed tasks, will it keep running when a user logs out or will it shut down? the way i see it is that it will run on logon and keep running until something/someone shuts it down. "logon" would specify only when the task should start.
what i'm trying to do is this: i figured out a way to setup a folding "server" which will allow all folding info for X machines to be saved on the server. each client will use scheduled tasks to load folding from the server. the problem is that if it runs at startup then the client hasn't connected to the server yet and then the task can't run. if it runs at logon then the client has connected to the server already and will work fine. i just don't want folding to stop once a user logs off, once its running i don't want it to stop unless the system shuts down. thanks for the help.

I'm pretty sure that when a user logs off, it ends all processes started by that user. To do what you want, the program would need to be started as a system service
