Super long shut donw time
I'm running xp professional, and all of a sudden I went from having 40 second shutdown times to extremely long shut down times, Im taking like at least 3 minutes before it gets to the "logging off" screen and even longer till it actually shuts down, I put together this system less than a month ago with top of the line products so I am rulling out the possibility that my compnents take that long to process the shut down. I think it might be taking the time to shut down the applications that I leave running all the time like Spyware Doctor, Norton, and Spysweeper. Does anyone have an idea what might have caused this change, and how I could speed up the shutdown time?
Thank you /ryan124712 |

Might try shuting each of those apps one at a time to see if you can find the culprit.

THANKS GUYS, I determined it was my InterVideo WinCinema Manager program that runs from start up to shut down.
