Word XP Save Prompt @ "Every" Close
Word XP Save Prompt @ "Every" Close
OS is XP with SP2 installed, plus all critical updates. Microsoft Office XP with SP3 installed. Every since I installed M$ Office XP when I open a saved document and make NO CHANGES to it, then attempt to close the document I get a prompt asking if I want to save "the changes" to the document. I have NOT make any changes to the document. I thought maybe that M$ Office SP3 would correct this anomaly, but it didn't. This did not occur when I had the version of Office that came with XP, nor did it occur when I had Office 2000 installed. How can I get rid of this prompt asking if I want to save changes when I didn't make any changes to the document. Thanks, G.F.K.

I found the FIX for this problem. Although the following link targets Word 2002, it also is applicable to Word XP.
