Two Small XP Things
Okay heres two small things that I'd like to get solved in Windows XP.
1.) How do I get the system volume icon to appear in the taskbar? 2.) When placing items on the desktop in XP its like there's a grid there. You place the item where you want, XP moves it in line with the other items. Is there a way to turn this off so that icons are free floating? Thanks. |

1.in the control panel go to sounds and audio devices and check of where it says place volume icon in taskbar on the volume tab.
2.right click the desktop and under "arange icons by" there is an option for align to grid. |

thanks a lot, that first one I knew before but forgot. The second ones I've been wondering about for years, it wasnt a big deal, but still that was such a simple fix. Thanks.
