user priviledges
Ok....Hi folks, cheers for takin' the time to read this
Pretty sure i'm in the right section but hey...it's been a long day and my eyes are starting to go blurry Having just re-installed XP home on a friends machine, they asked me if it was possible to block users from the internet....that doesn't read very well (sorry) 1 PC - Connected to the web via adsl modem so no network to speak of 3 User accounts on the machine - 1 Admin 2 Limited His kids are always downloading things they perhaps shouldn't and his machine fills up with viruses on a monthly basis. Is it possible to only allow the administrator account access to the web whilst blocking the limited accounts? thanks all |

http://support.microsoft.com/default...308419&sd=tech http://www.microsoft.com/technet/its.../winxphow.mspx The easiest way is to enable Content Advisor in Internet Explorer and set password on it! To do this : In open IE window click on tools > Internet options > Content tab > and then under Content Advisor (first at top) click enable and folow instructions to set password and content menu! But this will work if you don't have P2P, or Torrent downloading staf!!!
