My PC will not reboot
I'm not a hardware oriented guy. My PC was working fine and then suddenly it wont reboot. I turn my PC on, but no sounds, no error messages, nothing, only "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert Boot media in selected boot device". Hard drive does not make a sound. I don't recall installing anything new. My dumb mistake is that I had no backup. Does it mean my hard drive is completely gone or is there any advice somebody can give me? Thanks, I'd appreciate any help.

Maybe its just your boot order in your BIOS. Take a look by going into your BIOS, its displayed on how to do that at the initial boot screen, usually Del key or F1. Make sure your boot order has your hard drive on there somewhere and isnt disabled or anything odd.

Here's one many of us will admit to. Check to make sure you don't have a disk in the floppy drive.

As mentioned in both the above posts also check your not set to boot from the CD-ROM and have a CD in there either!
