Question Dual booting question

Any problems anyone have with dual booting W-2000 and XP Pro on a single HD?I have W2k on a 40 Gig that has two 20 partitions and want XP for a few things.

Should work like a charm and be very easy since you already have two partitions.

The only gotcha that I can think of is make sure 2000 is installed first. It most likely won't recognize XP. MS OS's aren't very good at recognizing later MS OS's. They will over write the MBR of the newer OS.

Yes 2000 is on my C: drive, which is running now,So just install XP on D: and hope for the best right?

How to Multiple Boot

Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, and MS-DOS


MORE INFORMATION
If you want to multiple boot operating systems, install the operating systems in the

following order:
1. MS-DOS
2. Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows Me
3. Windows NT
4. Windows 2000
5. Windows XP

Well so far so good kinda,First time I booted up it gave me the choice of which OS to boot to,,But then a memory dump error message when I booted,,On Second boot all looks well...thanks mucho!
