I'm not sure if DVDs are bootable yet...

There are 800MB CDs available, however.

Something went wrong. My WinXP with SP2 slipstreamed is 600 MB.

Check that you don't have the downloaded SP2 file (the 260 MB file) in your folder. You use it for slipstreaming, but you don't burn that big file itself to the CD.

You can download Nero. The Demo version ist fully functional, but time limited. Just download it, burn your XP CD, and remove it.

I found this site to be the best comprehensible of all on slipstreaming Windows XP SP2
http://www.theeldergeek.com/slipstreamed_xpsp2_cd.htm. ISO Buster makes it so ez to extract the files. Do you have the Easy Media version of Roxio 7 or the basic ver.7?
If you have the basic there should be no problem burning a cd. Follow this setup http://www.theeldergeek.com/slipstre...2_cd_roxio.htm. Good Luck and let us know how things work out.

This is the site that I got the info from and I got roxxio Easy media 7 but after noticing some of the dialogs they were display were not of version 7 I email the web site they replyed back saying

"Unfortunately it isn't possible with Version 7. Roxio decided to eliminate the feature where the sector count can be modified."

so I guess I'm stuck

If you're not willing to use another software, like Nero trial version, then yes, you're stuck.

But there is no problem using Nero for this.

Thanks for the link I'll have to check it out

As for Nero thanks for the suggestion but I don't know if it would mess up my Roxxio installation
