XP new build and internet connection
First build! I have read where when installing windows XP you need to have an internet connection. I was going to use the modem out the pc that I am using now and install it afterwards so I could still have iternet acess for any problems. Does anyone know if this is true?

No, you do not have to have an internet connection, I installed xp without an internet connect, then connected it to the internet afterward.

You just need a communications medium to active XP. It could be internet (after you set it up) or as simple as calling in by phone for activation.
