Hello,
I've fidled around with this quite a bit before posting here, but this is really bugging me. I use the filmstrip view in Windows XP My Pictures. By default, there is the small icon picture and file name underneath it in the filmstrip. So the 200x200 picture would be there along with "something.jpg". In My Pictures, the file name captions do not show - I've tried several folder options to no avail. This happens not only in filmstrip but also in Thumbnail mode. All subsequent directories within My Pictures DO show the file name underneath the picture icons - it's only the root My Pictures directory that's having this problem. Any ideas on how to get the file name label back underneath the picture icon? I attatched a screenshot for better depiction. Thanks. kram

Try switching to another view (any view but thumbnails), then switch back, but use a shift+click when choosing filmstrip. The names should come back.
