Win 2K No USB keyboard After Modem Drvr Install
I'm trying to upgrade a friend's computer from Win ME to Win 2K Pro. All was working well (except AC-Link builtin modem) after upgrade and new drivers for hardware. It is a Gateway 800C pc and I got the modem drivers from Gateway.com. After I loaded the new drivers, modem is working fine. Now USB keyboard freezes. USB mouse is working fine. Keyboard works before Windows is loaded (i.e. logon works okay).

Sometimes keyboard starts working after a while. One time keyboard started working but put in all wrong characters. Surely someone has had this problem and can help me. The pc has no ps2 ports to connect a standard keyboard so I've got to get this one working.
