Do I dare upgrade?(win2k pro to xp?)
My gf just bought xp home upgrade edition.
I am currently running win2k pro. My only complaint with win2k pro is that i had to disable Hyper Threading on my p4, which is annoying because we are certainly paying for that technology when we buy the cpu. So is it worth it or not? I love my win2k pro its so stable, basic, nonintrusive. But I do a lot of gaming and Ive read/heard that xp is better for gaming? What do you guys think? |

Yes, XP has better support for gaming than 2K. It is based on the same kernel as 2K, so it isn't very different in terms of its interface. I'd say that as long as you have XP, you may as well upgrade, especially if you plan on using this computer to play newer games as they come out.

Yes. Even if you dont disable it in the bios, win2k does not support it. And on some pc's it will cause system instability. |
