Windows XP Pro explorer.exe application popup error
I'm getting the following message when selecting video files in explorer:
ActiveMovie Window Explorer.exe - Application Error The instruction at "0x035b415b" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "written". Click OK to terminate the program I have Windows XP SP2 installed. This seems like it has to do with the preview function in explorer. |

Well, did this stump all the helpful folks here, or did I forget my deodorant this morning? I have tried all the relevant answers in the windows 2000 thread that is similar to this problem and they didn't work. I still have a problem with bringing up folders with video files in it. No adware/spyware on the machine. Disabled all non-XP context handler classes with ShellEx. I'd appreciate it if someone had any input on this. Thanks.

Seems to be because of the video codec installed: check this out - http://www.moviecodec.com/topics/3379p2.html
