Issues booting into safe mode in Windows XP
Hello,
My laptop is experiencing some problems after I installed a demo program of IntelliHyperspeed 2005 and allowed for the optimizations on my system to take place. After the reboot, i came to the issue of this screen. It tells me to boot into safe mode, since this is the only screen that comes up trying to get into my laptop. However, I am having issues in trying to access the safe mode. ______________________________________________________________________ A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. BAD_POOL_HEADER If this is ther first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps: Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or softwrae manufacturer for any Windows updates you might need. If problem continue, disable or remove and newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to selecte Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe MOde. Technical information: *** STOP: 0x00000019 (0x00000020, 0xE22c32A0, 0x0c000001) ___________________________________________________________________ When I try the F8 key to log into safe mode, in doesn't work, or if it sorta does, it just blanks out the screen. Is there any other ways to do get into the safe mode options, anything you can recommend I can do before having to take it into the shop or something. Remember, I can't get into Windows anymore, so msconfig won't work here. Thanks in advance. ![]() Laptop is Compq R4000 AMD Athlon 64 80GB 1GB Ram etc. etc. |
