Invalid boot.ini file?!

The last couple of months I noticed this upon bootup (hot or cold boot). I get (in DOS lettering on the top left portion of my screen):

Invalid boot.ini file.......
continuing to load from Windows.......

It then boots Windows and everything works like normal. Any way I can repair that without a re-install or could I just ignore it? I'd prefer to repair it if necessary.

Thanks, chief. Now, this won't ruin any of my data, correct?

Ahem .. it shouldn't but you know how it is with computers ... let me put it this way... if it was my computer, I would do the instructions on that page without a second thought; because I am not installing Windows, nor am I cleaning out the drive .. I am only working with a bootloader...
