Nvidia driver install cuase failed startups???
Okay, yesturday, I was playing BF2 when I noticed that my sli wasn't enabled. So, I exited went to nvidia's website and downloaded the newest driver I think its 77.77. After installing, I went to bed. This moring when I turned it on, my monitor didn't recieve a signal until I hit del and entered bios. I then exited bios and I got the screen saying "windows did not boot correctly" and i selected safe mode and firguring that it is a driver problem on acount of that was the only software I installed lately. I reninstalled the driver, and boot normally and no problem. 20 minutes I got curious to see if it would restart fine, so when I tried I got the same "windows did not boot correctly" menu and this time I selected last working configuration, which is what I am in now. I cannot even notice what is different, the driver I installed is still here. And sli isnt enabled either. I have to go to school and am fearful that it wont work when i come back and I have a few important documents that im emailing to my hotmail now, so I dont lose them.
Any clue what so ever of what is causing these failed start ups? all help is greatly appreciated.

Ok, I figured it out, my drivers for each card were different, only one driver updated.
There is still one problem, when I go to enable SLI, my cmputer freezes after I click yes to restart and save my new settings. Anyone know whats going on? thanks again. |

The problem continues, I did a system restore to 2 days ago and I still have no clue if SLI is enabled, and I cant even find the program that allows me to configure it.
This is very depressing, I have fixed most if not all of the problems I have encountered so far, and I fear that I will have to do a system restore to a week ago to get my settings back the way they were. |
