Windows detecting new hardware?

I just did a fresh install of windows on an older machine. I installed all the drivers, finished all the windows updates. But now windows has detected two new pieces of hardware it keeps trying to search for drivers for.

They are labeled unknown, and i have every piece of hardware accounted for under the device manager already. I am at quite a loss here, and unsure what to do.

After this fresh install my machine also seems to be running incredibly slow. I did a fresh defrag, error check, and virus scan.

Running a 3.4 gig P4
2 gig ddr2 ram
x850 xt pl ati card (omega drivers)
windows xp SP2
Soundblaster Audigy 2 zs
WD SATA HD

Any sugestions on what might be causing this would be helpfull.
