Trying to install software from WinZip

I am trying to install and run nTune_2.05.09.02.exe.

I went to the nVidia website, found the software and it downloaded just fine. At the end of the download the WinZip Self -Extractor window pops up just fine and I clicked on Unzip. The file unzips just fine (says it opened 9 files) but then what do I do or where do I go to tell the software to install? It does not start self installing and nothing asks me if I want to install the software. No new icon appears on the desktop to go ahead and install the software. Where might I look?

When I do a search, the search feature cannot find nTune_2.05.09.02.exe or 2.05.09.02.exe

Is there another method of finding these 9 unziped files?

Usually something pops up and asks me if I wish to install the software.

Thanks

You should check on that web site and see did you actualy downloaded the .exe file or some other form.
I think that winzip unzips file to a temporary folder you can check there!

I found a solution. I did another search under files that partially contain the file name. I found them. I then found the install file and clicked on it. It installed successfully.

Seems it should never have to be this difficult to install software. Games are much easier to install than this software from nVidia was. Seems when you download something and unzip it you should automaticly get a window that comes up asking if you wish to instal the software that you downloaded and unzipped rather than burying the install file somewhere that you have to use the search feature to find.

Just a suggestion why don't you create a folder called My Downloads or something similar in your My Documents to save all of your downloads. This makes it easier to keep tabs on all downloads you do. I also find the built-in Extractor in XP works quite well. After downloading and saving your files to the new folder just double click on the zipped folder. A new window will open, on the left where it says "Folder Tasks" click Extract All Files follow instructions from there. Hope it helps.

He had a self-extracting file (a .exe file) that should extract the files to a temp file, and automatically run the installation file. The reason it didn't start the installation file is probably due a poorly assembled self-extracting file. What you said works for a .zip file, one you'd have to manually extract to get to the installation file.
