CTRL ALT DELETE mystery

For the passed few days every time i have pressed Ctrl alt delete it has yielded nothing. The taskmanager doesn't pop up.I have tested all of the keys on my keyboard, as well as another keyboard with the same result. I have formatted recently and my computer has been running well up until this point. I use my computer mainly for gaming with the odd bit of photoshopping and animation work.

Using windows XP proffesional on SP 1. If anyone has any experience of this problem i'd appreciate any help =)

Every time I have seen this it relates to adware/spyware infection. If you haven't already, donwload and run Adware and Spybot. Then take a trip over to Trendmicro and run their AV scanner.

Exclamation

i discoverd recently that this is because windows left a way to disable the task manager so administrators can stop users from displaying it, it is a simple registry entry, which spyware has now taken advantage of. here is a link to fix it, follow instuctions CAREFULLY, the option is to REMOVE THE TASK MANAGER so you must disable it so it does not REMOVE it, enabling it will tell the computer that yes, you do want to REMOVE THE TASK MANAGER, you know its one of those double negative things.

here's the site:
