Data Recovery with Knoppix Tip

Hi all,

I saw the tip on Data Recovery with Knoppix, but not sure how to use. I've made a bootable CD, and when booting the computer with it, it goes to Dr. Dos, but I don't know the commands. Is there a place where I could find the commands to retrieve data from a HDD ?

Thanks
Daisie

A google search will get you all the dos commands you want.

I`ve used a more compact version of Linux for data recovery, system rescue, etc. that boots and runs right off the CD. BeatrIX. Only 200 megs or so and it automatically searches for networks. When it loads it`s ready to go.
