There's no real area on the forum for software so I'll post this here. Maybe there's a software expert amoung us that can help.
My employer has ask me to find software that will help us with equipment maintenance scheduling. Some items are not getting done and it could affect our ISO certification. I need software that will: 1) Notify me automatically when scheduled maintenance is due. 2) Print out list of equipment to be serviced to give to tech. 3) Bug me until I say it's done. 4) Allow feedback so it can list when and what maintenance was done. 5) Store feedback in a database for future reference of past maintenance actions. 6) Be simple enough for non computer experts to use. If anyone uses or knows of any "off the shelf" software that might work please give me a post. Thanks |

You might get a lot more value from something other than a simple PM..
http://www.equipsoft.com/
Is pretty good for usage esp for no-Tech oriented people, and its tightly integrated with M$ Office. http://www.faciliworks.com/index.htm is also another suggestion. In addition there are very specific s/w-s as well if the one above isnt what you are looking for. Like for the auto industry .. or trucking etc. that will essentially remove the work of entering the various parts you want checked, and you might be able to find sthing for your industry. What you basically are looking for is a good CMMS (Computer Aided Maintenance Management) software, you can also do websearches with that paramater or ask your s/w vendor as well for what could be supported.
