i know i turned off the firewall!

lol, just built yest , installed xp, how do i get the shield out of the tray and how do i stop it from telling me i disabled firewall with that popup every 10 minutes? also i have a strange problem with sandra, i can run all the individual info tests fine , but if i try to run the performance /tuneup wizard it freezes comp solid about half way thru, i couldnt find anything on the web about that.

You should NOT disable the windows firewall unless you are running another firewall. IF you are you can turn the notification off in the Windows Security Center.

well i unchecked all 3 of those and they just keep popping back up with checks in them, is there another setting somewheres?

go to start-->run-->services.msc-->scroll down-->Security Center-->Double click it-->Stop-->Startup type-->select Disable...it will not run again.
