Barebones Bootable floppy?

I need to make a bootable floppy and put a 3110kb file on it...

But if I make a ms-dos bootable (right-click A) there are too many files on the floppy to fit the file I need....

What are the barebones files I need to make the floppy bootable?

Thanks...

A floppy disk has a capacity of ~1.4MB, so unless you have a way of creating a ramdisk, having your file compressed on the floppy drive (into something less than 1MB) then having a batch file to uncompress the zip file into the ramdisk ... you have to look into splitting the file and carrying it on multiple floppies.
The real question is do you have a limitation to the number of floppies that you can use? Why not use a disk for booting, and 2 more that contain your file?

The question itself has so many possibilities, none of which can be addressed with the amount of information you've given. ms-dos bootable .. that comes in so many versions and so many flavors. You could try something like a driver free bootdisk from www.bootdisk.com or download something like a DOS 5.0 or 6.0 disk, create it and then delete everything except io.sys, msdos.sys, command.com (my memory is a bit weak here, but if you can post the directory contents of your DOS drive, I can tell you accurately what can be removed and still get a good boot).
However, there are limitations if you are using a ramdrive .. you will need extended memory files (like himem.sys etc) and the ram drive itself. If you need files loaded up at start, you will need to address them through config.sys and autoexec.bat; depending on what it is that you're loading. Not to mention other hardware support like a CD will require more files.
The best option IMO is to have multiple floppies.

Thanks Statica....

Here what I think I did...

I downloaded a file for a recovery and labeled it "recovery for a bootable floppy"

I think what I in fact did was download the bootable cd.... it's an iso file...

So next Question is...If I copy this with Nero Burning rom and select "Bootable cd" and then important the file will it do what it's suppose to do?

Edit:....I took a chance grabed a cd and burned it....worked fine...
