Read Only Properties?
should emm386.exe be a read only file? R *.exe files normally (read only)? As I look thru my windows and sys files I noticed that alot the files that I would think r protected by read only properties r not and I am wondering if this is part of the problem that is causing windows not to load properly. thnx

Seems a little odd that it's read-only, but shouldn't be a problem: you can change that by right-clicking on the file, selecting Properties, and removing the checkmark from the read-only box.
If you tried copying that file from a CD-R, it may have gained it's read-only property then. . . . Gary |
