2 sets of msconfig.exe and services.msc?

Hi, is it possible using seperate hardware profiles and user accounts (windows xp) to have 2 sets of msconfig.exe and services.msc?

i.e on choosing hardware profile and user account 1 at startup - one set of msconfig and services loads up (say WITH virus protection, firewall, spyware protection etc)

or on choosing hardware profile and user account 2 at startup - a different set of msconfig and services loads up (say WITHOUT virus protection, firewall, spyware protection etc)

I hope this makes sense! Thanks in advance

p.s All the above WITHOUT going down the dual boot road!!

With hardware profiles you can select the services you want to load with each associated profile; but I dont believe you can change your startup list (places like Start up folder). To set a particular service to start with a particular profile (of course you should have created more than one profile first), go to services.msc and double-click on any service. Click on the Log On tab and you can now select the profiles.

The only suggestion I can give with programs starting automatically, most of these are non-critical programs that can be started manually and that do not need to be the first one running (a service), so keep it light, and you can always manually start each program after you boot to a profile.
