How do I schedule windows XP to do a simple defrag
Say everyday etc? MB |

start > acessories > system tools > schedualed tasks > it will then go throught a new task setup prompt and set this up for you. You can configure time, how oftern, etc.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...s/gehrke1.mspx Although i wud agree with 1badtech too, that a third party defragger works nice and it will also defrag your MFT and paging file as well, and its faster too. |
