Post MCE Install Problem

I've been having a problem with the install on a new machine. After I have the second disc in there it stops and tells me it can't find Service Pack 2, and tells me to install Microsoft XP Profesional Disc 2. The only thing I got was 2 CD's, and it won't accept either of them at this point.

The only other option is to choose cancel which finishes the install and resets the computer. The problem with this is that when I go to install drivers I get an error message saying I'm missing some sort of server( PDF server or something, I'm not exactly sure.)

Any Advice?

The prompt for XP Pro SP2 is very misleading, you can easily end up with a half functioning version of MCE that cannot be activated or updated, and refuses to load drivers.Im guessing that "Required line in INF not found" and "RPC server unavailable"are familiar phrases to you...
You need to start again from scratch.Load disc 1 as normal, then disc 2 up to the point where XP Pro SP2 is required. Now put disc 1 back in and carry on...

Thanks Yoshi, Your advice worked...though I had already tried this and it rejected it the first time. Either way i'm not asking any questions and am happy with a clean install. Thanks again.
