xp home/pro problem

i have an annoying problem:
i had xp home installed on my computer, but it was having serious problems,so i formatted my hard drive. then i installed xp professional. no problems so far. now, though, when i boot my computer, i get the choice between xp home and pro. of course, xp home is gone, so it gives me an error if i try to load it.
basically, i'd like to get rid of the option so that xp pro loads automatically.

any suggestions?
thanks in advance.

sounds like you did not do a complete format, how else would it still know about home.

I know the file you want to edit is in the root directory and is called boot.ini If you look in yours thats where you probably see listed under operating systems both choices XP home and pro. I am pretty sure that if you just delete the line with xp home it will quit giving you that choice..

Send a message via AIM to guruboy
watch out though editing boot.ini can create serious problems. Check with someone before playing around with it.
