Whenever I open Windows Explorer in Windows XP Pro, if I want to view the drive space occupied by each of the file listed, I have to manually go to View -> Status Bar(We can have detail view option too, but still, the status bar saves a lot of space, i feel! ). Not sure whether this is normal behavior. Is there any registry tweak or other setting that keeps the status bar of a window "On" by default, at all times. In previous versions such as Windows 98/ME I have observed that the Status Bar appeared at all times.Kindly share your ideas on this,
Thanks. |

On my XP PC when I go to view status bar and check it, it stays checked even after I close explorer and reopen it, so I don't know why yours does not..
