Transferring XP System To System?

Greetings all!

I'm in the process of building a new system and I'm trying to save $$$ wherever possible.

Here's my question... is it possible to transfer Windows XP Home from my current system to the new system WITHOUT the boot disc and WITHOUT having to install and leave the old HD in the new system?

Thanks in advance!

It is only legal to load your copy of Xp on 1 PC at a time.

it is possible to copy or clone one hard drive to another, but depending on whether the PC was OEM or not will also affect the abbility to do so

Y'see the problem with that is Microsoft's new "Windows Genuine Advantage" which means if that Serial Number is on another PC, you won't be able to get updates (Only critical updates that fix holes that are exploited by viri). So only the PC running the original copy will be able to get all the updates.

That's why they have the validation tool with the Geniune Advantage. So I wouldn't even play with it.
