Blue Screen of death

Right now I'm perplexed because when I put on my computer( pentium 4, 1.6GHz, 256MB) it shows a blue screen with this code UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT.
Frankly, I'd just left my cousin to type her school assignment for an hour. She says she did not try to install anything.
What could be the cause, and how do I repar it witout losing my precious office documents in the computer?

Thx
