hey all...Great forum..
Here is my problem...I have windows xp. Never had any problem extracting from zips or making zips. Now as of last night, I cant do either... When I DL a zip, try to extract, it says "nothing in folder." When I try to just open, it says "file corrupted." Also when I "send to zip file", it does nothing. I tried doing all of it with several different files, and nothing... Please help to get zips working again...Thank you much

hmm
Ok well Im guessing you are using the built in archiving in XP. Try disabling that feature in windows and then re-enabling it. If that doesnt work try downloading something such as WinRAR or WinZip. WinRAR would be my first pick. Could it just be the data you are trying to zip/unzip is corrupted?? That sure would cause those problems. It could just be some unknown Windows bug too. Try those things and if that doesnt work Im not really sure what else to tell ya. You could reinstall XP but thats a lot of work and loss if you dont have a way to backup your data. This may or may not help but GOOD LUCK regardless!!
