Folder options

ok, how come when I try to arrange my files so that I can see them as a thumbnail format instead of a list, but everytime I close out the folder it just reverts back to arranging them in a list.....why won't it save the setting that I want that folder's pictures arranged as thumbnails?

That is odd, mine stay the way I have set them. I will check around control panel maybe there is a setting I am unaware of.

EDIT : looks like EzyStvy beat me to it!

I don`t have an XP machine handy at the moment but if memory serves, in explorer, set the folder you are in the way you want then click tools\folder options\view and click the button that says "like current folder" and it should work the next time you fire up explorer.
