System Idle Process is just a placeholder that measures the percentage of the CPU power that's not being used. If it's going from 95% to 100%, that means it's going from 0% to 5% CPU usage.

It has got to be showing up in the task manager. Maximaixe it and watch it for a bit, you should see a process jumping that CPU usage up. Where are you getting your info on the cpu usage from???

i monitered it for like 5 min ... nuthin uses the CPU for more than 3 persent, but
the graph shows another thing .. its always peeking alot like 90 or 95 ..

someone told me that it may be a virus lingering in a sector of the hard-disk
explaining why it didnt go when i formatted the pc. Im gonna try mcafee anti-virus i heard that its real good..

thank you ktkendall
