I need to restore my system. I use XP and I tried a registry cleaner that actually deleted some files or something and it messed up a lot of the features on my XP. Not to mention that some of my programs no longer work. My MS Office and Internet Explorer to be exact.
I tried to do a system restore, that didn't work at all. I even tried it when starting windows in safe mode. That didn't work either. I would rather do that if I could. However, If I need to restore my system, I'm ready to do that. I backed up a lot of my vital files, so I'm ready. Here's the question (finally). I can't find my XP C.D. Is there any way I can download something or use a XP pro CD to do the job? Is there any way to get a backup of my windows XP? I have my keys from my original XP, so I don't need that...... Please Help.

I probably could find someone. If they did could I just use their CD and use my key to register it?

If you can get hold of an exact copy of your version of XP you have two options.
You can attempt a repair install or you could do a format and reinstall but obviously using your CD key code, it must be the exact same version or the key code will not work. |
