I have a Sony VAIO with Win XP (Homey edition) and have lost the icon at the bottom that allows me to safely disconnect my PCMCIA NIC. Is there an easy way to restore the icon?
I also noticed the (Linksys) NIC will not work in the lower PCMCA slot, but now works in the upper slot. Any ideas on this? |

Simple Cheat
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's a cheat. From a command window run: C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll This will bring up the add remove wizard. When I did this, it put the icon back in my task bar as soon as I removed my USB drive. http://www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/thread-1871889.php
