Run command

How can you slow down the time after you type in a run command on Windows XP? After I type in ipconfig, it goes to the black dos screen and out in less than a second.

What exactly do you mean?... why not in run type cmd then inside command prompt type ipconfig /all .... or is that what you are doing and it is still closing on you?
