Hi,
When I try to run scan disk the program seems to start okay, but does not complete the scan. I have tried to shut down all the background programs without success. I have disconnected from the internet as well. No luck. Any ideas as to what else I can do? Obviously, I can't defrag cause it says I have errors on the drive. Thanks for your thoughts. LouRT |

Do it in safe mode, and you need to use the Thorough scandisk option to fix the errors. Be prepared to run manufacturer's hard drive diagnostics, you may be developing bad sectors. Defrag in safe mode too.
