old program on XP?
Hey everyone,
My mom work's in a dental office and they use a program called Easy Dental, on an old machine (they bought it new like 8 years ago and it doesn't even have Win 95) so I think it is running 3.x i would guess. They are getting a new HP machine and want to put Easy Dental on it with about 1800 patients info but I was thinking it probbably wouldn't run on XP. Is this a good general rule of thumb or are most programs that old not able to run on XP? They use it as a windows app, it's not run through Dos or the command prompt or anything. And help much appreciated. Steve b.t.w. they could just get the new version of easy dental but its like 2 grand i believe, so they are lookin to avoid that... |

If it's a 16 bit Windows app, it should run fine in XP, you may just have to run it in one of the compatibility modes. Install a fresh copy and see how it runs before you import the database.
