Windows XP Boot Issue
Perhaps I could get some guidance.
Upon booting a Windows XP machine, I arrive at the default desktop screen and my task bar pops in place then disappears again. if I try and scroll my mouse to where the task bar should be, I get nothing. I am looking at the Rolling Hills wallpaper. I CTRL/ALT/DEL, I get the task manager. I opened up my DOS shell and attempted to run explorer.exe from the CMD prompt. Again, the program executes by flashing the task bar again....but it's gone in an instant...any suggestions? |

Well I guess I solved my own problem...when in doubt...Restore....from the comman prompt, I navigated to through system32\restore\ and executed rstrui.exe which is the Restore Point executable. problem solved!
