Make it work!.......please...
Ok, I have a notebook laptop with windows 2000 on it. Now whenever I start this thing up normally, windows won't even finish loading. So, I went into regedit, stopped everything from starting up on the machine. After that I slaved the drive onto a desktop with Norton and spysweeper/Microsoft Anti-Spyware and ran scans on the HDD using those utilities. Now thinking that most if not all the viruses/spy-adware are gone, I can at least put the HDD back into the laptop and have it startup on its own but nope. It is still as slow as before. Now what else could possibly be running to slow this thing up??? And by slow I don't mean lagging, I mean dead stoipped. Can't access task manager, can not access anything. The only way I can get around is safe mode. So this issue is software related but.....how??

some software isnt compatible with other diffrent software in your pc. i downloaded the Battlefeild2 demo and the next day when i started that up, it would'nt boot in normal xp. i did a system recovery in safe mode from the day before i installed BF2 and it worked
