I am trying to find out what "Code 11" means. OS 98SE, system devices, SCI IRQ used by ACPI Bus, properties, and this message comes up: "Windows stopped responding while attempting to start this device, and therefore will never attempt to start this device again (Code11).

Just what does Code 11 mean?

Solution button: Update Driver

To resolve this error, run the Automatic Skip Driver utility from the System Information tool. If the problem persists, contact the hardware manufacturer for updated drivers.

Sounds to me like you need updated motherboard chipset drivers or a bios update. Win98's support for ACPI is poor to begin with.
