keep getting ie-6 error message brings up home page

Hi,
I keep getting "the microsoft has encountered a problem, would you like to report it etc" and then no matter which choice i click, report or no, it brings up my home page.
If i try and exit, the same thing happens. I can reduce the home page and the puter works okay for a while, then it will happen again.
Right now I have about 15 of my home page windows open.
I have run ad-aware and spybot and seem to be clean.
This started last night out of the blue..
have firewalls and AVG running 24-7
Even reloaded Windows, have "repaired IE-6" nothing


Any ideas on how to clean this up..?

Read the sticky thread in the Security forum and post a HijackThis log when you have done everything else.

i tried housecalls and found nothing
will proceed with other suggestions on the secuity thread as recommended.
Found one posting which eemed to describe my prob- but I realy don't understand the solution advice...
Will plug away..
The "hikjack this" part is new to me... if I am clueless I will post back
