Setup/Boot Problem! How Do I...???

Hey ya'll!

Okay, here's the deal...

I have a new build that I'm trying to setup WinXP on. I used Ghost to copy the OS from my old system to the new HD. I made sure that it preserved the MBR during the copy.

My system will start up and get to the boot screen where I get a error saying that there are drive configuration conflicts and it can't read the boot disk.

I'm using a universal boot CD-ROM that I burned from an ISO file. I burned it using a program called EasyBoot, so I assume that it wrote it in bootable format.

Also, if I hold F5 at start up, I can get to the OS setup options screen, but no further.

How do I go about telling the system to boot from my cd drive as opposed to the floppy drive?

Or, can someone tell me how I can add a volume ID label to a floppy so that I can use the MakeBoot program?

Thanks!

Go into the setup in bios and change boot sequence to CD-ROM

okay... I got the system to boot to CD-ROM. But now I can't get out of there!

How do I get it to run WinXP?

btw... my boot CD is one of those generic super boot jobs with all sorts of utilities on it. It does give me access to My Computer and I'm hoping I can get WinXP to run from there...

please help!

thanks!
