2 winxp on sys need to delete one

I recently put two hard drives in my new computer and both have win xp pro on them. I wanted to delete one or both so I can start over. Is there a way to do this. I tried to format a floppy with sys files and added format but it says it can not read the disk in dos mode. when i explore it within windows it can see all the files. Can someone help me

Do you want to remove just the windows installations or do you want to wipe everything on the hard drives?

Boot with your xp cd. Then go into setup new intallation and delete the partitions on both drives. Setup up your new partitions the way you want and format and your ready to go.

i did that and it worked just fine. But now I have another problem. After I loaded all my software I decided that i did not want the primary hard drive on the computer. is there a way I can take that out and not have to start all over again from scratch? in other words transfer windows to the other drive. I have all my programs loaded on the the 2nd drive and only windows is on drive 1...the one i want to get rid of...thanks. I know I am pushing it here but I know someone out there has an answer i want to hear!

That procedure will WIPE the 2nd hard drive.

Start from scratch or back everything up that's on the 2nd hard drive before you clone it.
