MAJOR Problem With Outlook Express! Please Help!!!

Greetings All!

Okay... I recently finished a new build with a fresh WinXP install. I took the HD out of my old system and installed it as a slave in the new system. I made NO changes to the settings of the old drive in the new system. Outlook Express is installed on both drives.

My wife has her ENTIRE internet life in the settings for OE from the old PC, and for the life of me, I can't get the settings back in the new system.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Thanks!

thanks for the tip, but that's not exactly what I meant...

I have OE installed on each drive, but I can't locate the settings from the old drive to apply them to the new drive...

I'm missing something here.
Do you mean she needs her address book and all her e-mail?
edit : you can simply copy her My Documents and Settings folder to the new install.
You can also copy the outlook express file, it's in Programs on the C drive, from the old install into the new install.

The problem I think that you are running into is in the fact that when you open OE on the old drive it is not C: anymore and C: is where both sets of OE are getting their settings from so opening OE on either drive causes it to look to C: for it's settings, but as stated above you can still find any saved emails and the settings you should be able to just put back in there.
Here is where to find the address book:
C:\Documents and Settings\*******\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book
Of course instead of the asterics, it will be whatever her user name was on the old PC.
And now that I think about it if you open OE on the old drive and change the settings you are probably going to change the settings on the C: drive, so the thing to do is use the copy of OE from the new drive and set up 2 identies..

1. Import the address book from where ktkendall said, except it won't be from C, it will be from whatever letter the old drive is now.

2. The e-mail stores are in the old drive letter, \documents and settings\username\local settings\application data\identities\(a bunch of numbers and letters)\microsoft\outlook express. Use the OE import wizard to import them from the old drive into the new identity, import from an OE6 store directory, not from an identity.
